Serieses: At least, those not covered in Boxed Sets.

-Blue Seed: - Anime.
-Discs: 4 of 4.
-Episodes: 7, 7, 6, 6.
-Sides: 1
-Format: Standard.
-Starts with: Menu.
-Specials: Character Bios (menu), Omake Theaters, Trailers.
-Languages: (Audio) English, Japanese, Spanish. (Subtitles) English, Songs (subtitles just the songs, NICE).
-Pros: I for one like this series. Subbed and dubbed. Good specials. SEVEN episodes on the first disc!!! And this time.. no trailers... for disc 1 anyway! (Not usually a pro.. but concidering it's ADV...)
-Cons: I'm going to say, for now, that there could have been more Omake Theaters.. which you will get for the last two discs. They make up for one less episode by having more of the Omake Theaters.
-Link: Blue Seed - $23.98
-Notes: ADV finally got some without trailers at the beginning! You can tell that ADV doesn't concider this one of their "hits", as they're packing as many episodes as they can on a disc, rathar than trying to strech it out through 8 discs, plus the lack of trailers. Well, that just makes me VERY happy, because I like this series and I'd LOVE to get the whole thing on 4 discs! I'm a bit angry at Suncoast.com for this one. I had Disc 2 on reserve since Feburary, it STILL lists it as "back ordered" for me. I fianlly snapped and just picked them up locally. I do like this series. Not as much as some of the others, but still good.

-Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040: - Anime (is anyone surprised by that at this point?)
-Discs: 6 of 6.
-Episodes: 4 on discs 1-4, 5 on 5 and 6.
-Sides: 1
-Format: Standard.
-Starts with: Trailers, then Menu.
-Specials: Character bios (menu).
-Languages: (Audio) English, Spanish, Japanese. (Subtitles) English.
-Pros: Great series.
-Cons: Oh.. ADV is now 0 for 2 in my books. Trailers before the menu? Save that crap for VHS. If you want trailers on a DVD, put them *IN THE MENU WHERE WE CAN WATCH WHEN WE WANT TO*, not have it forced down our throat every time we pop the disc in. Again, no real extras.
-Link: Tokyo 2040: $20.99
-Notes: As I said, so far ADV is 0 for 2. I've been in contact with them a little bit to list my gripes, but we'll see if anyone listened or not. This series, however, is currently one of my favorates. It just keeps getting better! Now, five discs in, this series is on my top list. Excelent, and still getting even better. And it seems that ADV has ditched their trailers. Thank you, ADV! Trailers seem to be back for the tail end. The series is not complete, and an excelent series it is.

-Cowboy Bebop: Anime.
-Discs: 6 of 6.
-Episodes: 5 on discs 1 & 2, 4 on rest.
-Sides: 1
-Format: Standard.
-Starts with: Menu.
-Specials: (Disc 1) Music video, Character bios (menu), Trailers. (Disc 2) Interviews, Trailers. (Disc 3) Interviews, Trailers. (Disc 4) Music Video, Trailers. (Disc 5) Music Video, Trailers. (Disc 6) Trailers, Stills. (Each disc's specials are different, other than trailers).
-Languages: (Audio) English, Japanese. (Subtitles) English.
-Pros: Cool series. 5 episodes.
-Cons: Not too many specials. Really, REALLY odd use of chapters.
-Link: Cowboy Bebop - $22.49
-Notes: I rathar like this series so far. Quite entertaining. The chapters are laid out very oddly though, so don't try to jump through the ending of one to the next, watch the "Next episode" trailer, THEN jump when the opening credits start. The chapters get better on later discs. I finally have the whole series, and I cannot reccomend it enough. Cowboy Bebop RULES. The extras are appearendly from the japanese "Session 0" tape, spread out equilly (more or less) through the six discs. Nice!

-Farscape: Sci-Fi live-action series. *GASP* IT'S NOT ANIME... yet oddly.. it's ADV.. weird huh?
-Discs: 9 of ?.
-Episodes: 2
-Sides: 1
-Format: Standard.
-Starts with: Trailer, then Menu.
-Specials: Full episodes (there were scenes cut from the US television showing becuase of advertising times.. bleh), Audio Commentary (discs 1-3), Featurette, Interview, Stills.
-Languages: (Audio) English.
-Pros: Good specials, good series.
-Cons: 2 episodes.
-Link: Farscape - $18.74
-Notes: I'd seen the first 8 episodes in their entirety, and I happen to really like the series. That's why I started picking them up. The price isn't too bad, and with the specials, I'd say it's worth it even for 2 episodes. The tapes are released three at once, but the discs one at a time, so by the time the second run of tapes is out the 4th DVD will be also, etc. 4th disc is here, no more audio comentary. Shame. Nor will there be any more, according to ADV. That was my favorate part of the DVD's. *sigh* Oh well. It's not REALLY worth it anymore, without the good specials. Espically when you compare this to other serieses in sets, like X-Files, Simpsons, and the upcoming M*A*S*H. ADV just doesn't know how to do discs right, greedy people there. I'm still getting it though, for the simple reason that once i start collecting, I don't wanna stop. ;)

-Neon Genesis: Evangelion: Anime. It's here! It's finally here on DVD! This is probably one of the most well known, and best, anime series made.
-Discs: 2 of Unknown
-Episodes: 4
-Sides: 1
-Format: Standard.
-Starts with: Menu.
-Specials: Character Bios (menu), Trailers, Spinware (PC DVD-Rom special).
-Languages: (Audio) English, Japanese, French, Spanish. (Subtitles) English.
-Pros: Great series. Lots of languages.
-Cons: Few extras. VERY poor use of chapter stops (They almost appear random!)
-Link: Evangelion - $22.49
-Notes: Ohhhhh, it's here, it's FINALLY here.. and ADV came SOOOOO close to doing it right. Some more extras would have been nice.. and they messed up on the chapter stops! :( BAD ADV! It's REALLY simple guys. 5 per episode. Opening scene, part 1 (until half-way point), part 2, end credits, preview of next episode. Is that SO hard? And on the second disc, they remove the video overlays that I liked (others disaggreed), and ADDED TRAILERS TO THE BEGINNING. Strike 3, ADV.

-Outlaw Star: Anime. This one is currently on Cartoon Network's Toonami.
-Discs: 6 of 6, released in 3 packages of 2 discs each.
-Episodes: 9 on the first 2 sets, 8 on the last.
-Sides: 2 (1 per disc)
-Format: Standard.
-Starts with: Menu.
-Specials: (Disc 2) Music Video, Character Bios (menu), Trailers.
-Languages: (Audio) English, Japanese. (Subtitles) English.
-Pros: Good series, good value.
-Cons: N/A
-Link: Outlaw Star - $41.99
-Notes: I love this series just as much as Saber Marionette J and Cowboy Bebop. Bandai is excelent with their releases! Oddly, the last two disc case had the middle bit in backwards compared to most, which I found rathar annoying, so I put it the way I like. (The other way, when both discs face each other, one of the discs pops the other out). And the first one is a double thick case, which they moved away from afterwards. It seems as though Bandai is still experimenting. Experiment away, Bandai, 'cause so far I love what you've done. ;)

-Pokémon: Anime. Alright, so you may be wondering what something like Pokemon is doing in a list like this. Well... short version: I wanted some anime DVD's that I wanted and didn't already have on tape... and this was about all there was. So I bought the first one as a joke. My mistake, I'm a collector. Once I start, I don't stop.
-Discs: 12 of 20
-Episodes: 3
-Sides: 1
-Format: Standard.
-Starts with: Movie.
-Specials: Pokérap (until disc 7), comics.
-Languages: (Audio) English.
-Pros: Children should like it. Only shows the opening and ending once.
-Cons: Poor use of chapters, only per episode. Not worth getting on DVD. If you really want Pokemon, get the tapes.
-Link: Pokemon Disc 1 - $21.49
-Notes: This isn't DVD stuff. Only 3 episodes, only English, no specials. If you really want Pokemon, get the tapes.

-Saber Marionette J: Anime. And I *LOVE* this series!
-Discs: 6 of 6, released in 3 packages of 2 discs each.
-Episodes: 9 on set 1, 8 on sets 2 and 3
-Sides: 2 (1 per disc)
-Format: Standard.
-Starts with: Menu.
-Specials: (Disc 2) Music Video, Character Bios (menu), Trailers.
-Languages: (Audio) English, Japanese, Spanish. (Subtitles) English.
-Pros: Great series, great price, coming out in 3 batches, great dubbing, did I mention it's a great series?
-Cons: Are you kidding? Buy it now!
-Links: Saber Marionette J - $31.04
-Notes: Well, they should have been called "Program I" through "Program III" to match a theme from the series.. but I guess this works. I cannot say how much I love this series, it is FUNNY as can be! I'm glad Bandai is releasing it in 3 sets of 2 discs each (9-8-8). The VHS was subbed only.. but they dubbed it for the DVD release. Bandai you *RULE!* As above (Outlaw Star), the second two-disc case had the middle peice in backwards from most. And in the third they put the middle one correct again (I'd swapped my Saber 2 and Outlaw 3 anyway, the only reason I noted it was to make a not to myself of the original position.) There are only 25 episodes to this series, as opposed to the usual 26, but that's nothing serious. An excelent show, and I cannot wait for Saber Marionette J Again to be on DVD, nor Saber Marionette R for that matter (not that I've seen either...).

-Samuari X: Anime (anyone surprised yet?)
-Discs: 2 of 2.
-Episodes: 2.
-Sides: 1
-Format: Standard.
-Starts with: Trailers, then Menu. (ADV is getting very annoying about that, and they seem adamant against changing when I spoke with them about it).
-Specials: Trailer, Character Bios (menu), Historical notes.
-Languages: (Audio) English, Japanese. (Subtitles) English.
-Pros: Actually a pretty good show.
-Cons: Did ADV REALLY have to try to strech this for 2 DVD's? I really loathe it when anime companies feel the need to rip their customers off this way.
-Link: Samurai X - $23.98
-Notes: I'm getting tired of so many anime companies trying to rip us off any way possable. They put trailers at the beginning of discs like the crap on VHS (admitingly here you can press menu.. but you shouldn't HAVE to), and then put the bare minimum on a disc that they can.

-Serial Experiments: Lain: Anime. Refered to as just "Lain". Kinda trippy, like whomever made it was on drugs. ;)
-Discs: 4 of 4
-Episodes: 3 (4 on disc 1)
-Sides: 1
-Format: Standard.
-Starts with: Movie.
-Specials: Stills, Promotional videos.
-Languages: (Audio) English, Japanese. (Subtitles) English.
-Pros: Interesting anime. Good use of chapters.
-Cons: Not a LOT of specials.
-Link: Lain - $25.49
-Notes: Four episodes on the first disc, three on the rest. Weird anime, but kewl. Espically for computer lovers. Lain is insanity animated. I've got the whole thing now... and I pretyt much get what's going on FINALLY. You really need to see all the episodes to understand it, but in essence *SPOILER* it takes 13 episodes to explain what Evangelion did in 2, and IMHO all but the last 2-4 episodes of Lain did very little story-wise anyway. This is now available in a boxed set:  Lain Boxed Set - $111.99

-Tenchi in Tokyo: Anime. Not as good as the OAV, "cuter" than the original, plus it has some holes in the plot when you compare it to the original series.
-Discs: 2 of Unknown. (Currently 0, I didn't like the series, sold the discs, I will not be getting any more)
-Episodes: 3 (4 on disc 1)
-Sides: 1
-Format: Standard.
-Starts with: Movie.
-Specials: Stills.
-Languages: (Audio) English, Japanese. (Subtitles) English.
-Pros: Good use of chapters. Subbed and dubbed.
-Cons: Opening and closing at each episode. Only 3 episodes per disc (except disc 1 with 4 epsodes).
-Link: Tenchi in Tokyo disc 1 - $25.49
-Notes: May not be DVD stuff. You might want to look for the tapes. It's not that bad for DVD, however, it's up to you.

-Trigun: Anime. This is one of my favorate series. Quite funny. And it gets better and better.
-Discs: 8 of 8.
-Episodes: 3 (4 on discs 1 and 8.)
-Sides: 1
-Format: Standard.
-Starts with: Menu.
-Specials: Stills.
-Languages: (Audio) English, Japanese. (Subtitles) English.
-Pros: Great series, decent use of chapters, subbed and dubbed.
-Cons: Not a lot of specials.
-Link: Trigun - $25.49
-Notes: I also like the second foil cover on the box. Trigun is one of my favorate Anime series, and I'm glad it's finally being released here. The foil covers are only on the first run editions. Which means I'm gonna need to get these all ASAP if I want the foil set... This series gets better and better as it goes along. Another high reccomendation. I have finally completed the first series of Trigun (I believe that there is more than one series, but only one released so far), all foil covers, and this anime is GREAT.
